Top of the world

Beyond the ordinary

At The Summit Club, the mountain is your playground - and we take you far beyond the groomers. From steep couloirs and glaciated faces to expansive powder bowls and secret tree lines, each day is a new frontier of discovery. Whether you are carving bold lines on skis or a snowboard, the experience is tailored to your ability and ambition, with ski touring and split-boarding options available for those seeking an extra layer of adventure and off-grid exploration.

World-class guiding and instruction

Every experience at The Summit Club is led by elite mountain professionals — either IFMGA-certified guides or breveted instructors, based on your goals. IFMGA guides, licensed through Switzerland’s ASGM, are qualified to access advanced terrain like glaciers and steep backcountry lines, offering deep local expertise and maximum adventure. Breveted instructors focus on technical coaching and skill development, and they excel at helping you build confidence off-piste. We customise the balance of exploration and instruction to your preferences — whether you’re chasing high adventure, sharpening technique, or both.

Trekking

A breathtaking heli-skiing adventure

A signature feature of your trip is a thoughtfully tailored heli-skiing experience - delivering you to remote, untouched terrain far beyond the lift system. Expect wide- open descents, breathtaking scenery, and a sense of freedom in the ultimate alpine escape. You will experience the Alps in a way few ever do - no queues, no boundaries, just pure, uninterrupted descent across some of the most spectacular backcountry terrain in Europe.

Ski touring and split-boarding

For those craving a deeper connection to the mountain, ski touring and split-boarding can be effortlessly integrated into your week. Whether you are new to the discipline or already experienced, your guide will tailor each ascent to the group's ability - selecting rewarding routes that combine adventure with comfort and safety. Touring offers a different rhythm to the mountains: quiet, purposeful, and far from the lift lines. Climb through remote powder zones at your own pace, then earn your descent in complete solitude. With expert guidance and carefully chosen objectives, it is an unforgettable way to explore the backcountry - on your own terms.

Less queuing, more action

Your guide doesn't just lead the way — they unlock the mountain. With deep local knowledge, they navigate the lift system and avoid crowded slopes, helping you spend less time waiting and more time on snow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring my own Ski and Snowboard equipment?

For your Summit Club experience, we provide avalanche safety gear as part of the package, so you won’t need to worry about those essentials. However, you will need to bring your own skis, snowboards, boots, and poles.

If you don’t have your own equipment or would prefer to rent, we can assist you with high-quality rental options in Verbier. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll help arrange everything to ensure you’re fully equipped for the adventure.

What type of Avalanche safety gear is provided?

All guests are provided with high-quality standard avalanche safety equipment as part of the experience. This includes a backpack, avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe - all essential for safe travel in off-piste terrain and in line with industry best practices.

We use non-airbag backpacks as our standard offering because they are lighter, simpler to operate, and easier to travel with. These packs are the preferred choice for many professional guides and are fully appropriate for the types of terrain we operate in.

That said, we understand that some guests may prefer the added reassurance of an airbag system. We’re happy to arrange ABS or other airbag-compatible backpacks on request as a premium equipment upgrade - just let us know in advance and we’ll organise everything for you.

What level of skiing or snowboarding do I need to have?

To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we ask that guests be comfortable skiing or snowboarding all formal pistes, including ungroomed black runs. This includes navigating challenging terrain with confidence (even if not always with perfect style!), as our adventures take place in more advanced areas.

While pre-existing off-piste experience is ideal, it is not a strict requirement. We welcome guests who have a strong skiing or snowboarding background and are eager to expand their skills into off- piste terrain with the support of our experienced guides. Our guides are there to assist and will ensure that you’re always skiing or snowboarding in a setting which is appropriate for your level.

If you’re uncertain whether your level meets our criteria, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and we can help assess your suitability for the trip.

How physically fit do I need to be?

You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should be in good physical condition and able to ski or snowboard challenging terrain for several consecutive days. If your group is planning to include ski touring or split-boarding, a reasonable base level of cardiovascular fitness is helpful, but our guides will always adjust the pace to suit the group.
